Working on the Guinness Exhibition, we wanted to use lighting to reflect the mood of the building as ‘big, strong and honest.’ In doing so, we employed a number of lighting tactics to both enhance the natural light by day and create a sculptured environment by night. We focused on using white light throughout the project in order to reflect its purity and strength. Using carefully placed beams of light we accomplished these objectives, creating shadows, textures and revealing the architectural detail of the building. We also used light as a way to lead the visitor through the building, creating visual links throughout the atrium.
